NSS has been introduced for the students of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th semester. All the students of these semesters have been divided into Five Units of NSS (Unit-I to U nit-V), each Unit is divided into five teams (Teams-1 to Team-25). There is a Programme Officer from faculty for each Unit and One Programme Coordinator for coordinating the programmes of all the five unit of NIT, Jamshedpur and reporting higher authority of Institute as well as Government of Jharkhand and Government of India. Each Unit is guide by two or three students of fourth year and each team is consist of mixing the students of 1st & 2nd year, headed by a Team leader from 3rd year. |
